Director of Strength & Conditioning & Founder
Ian didn't just build TTG — he spent nearly two decades earning the right to. With 18 years in Strength & Conditioning, his resume reads like a tour of elite American sport: professional experience at the MLS and MLB levels, NCAA work spanning Divisions I through III, and a formative stint as an intern at Cressey Sports Performance — one of the most respected performance facilities in the country.
He is currently a member of the USA Climbing Team selection committee, which tells you everything about the breadth of his reach in the performance world. From diamonds to pitches to climbing walls, Ian has prepared athletes to compete at the highest levels the sport has to offer.
What he built at TTG is the direct result of all of it — every program, every philosophy, every standard in this building has his fingerprints on it.
Away from the gym, Ian is exactly who you'd expect: a self-described nerd who rock climbs, trains for triathlons, and finds just as much joy in the process as the performance. He treasures time with his wife and son above everything else.

Director of Physical Therapy/Owner
Scott's path to TTG didn't start in a gym — it started on the injured list at age 10, when an extensive knee injury gave him a front-row seat to the world of healthcare and rehabilitation. That experience planted a seed that never stopped growing, and it shaped everything that followed.
He went on to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a specialization in orthopedic PT, bringing clinical precision to the performance world. His passion has always lived at the intersection of the two — where recovering from injury meets returning to full, confident function. That philosophy is exactly what drew him to The Training Ground, and exactly what makes him invaluable to it.
What Scott is building at TTG is something most facilities can't offer: a true bridge between the treatment table and the training floor. No awkward handoff between your PT and your coach. No gap between "cleared to train" and actually performing. Just a seamless, informed path back to doing what you love — at full capacity.
If you've ever been told to rest and hope for the best, Scott has a better plan.

Physical Therapist Assistant
With 9 years of experience as a PTA in orthopedics, she brings a deep, practiced understanding of how the body moves, compensates, heals, and ultimately gets back to doing what it's meant to do. Her focus has always been on the whole picture — not just the injury, but the person behind it and the life they're trying to get back to.
What drives her most is the connection. Working with people from all different walks of life, backgrounds, and goals, and watching them progress physically — that's not just a job to her, that's the whole point. She genuinely loves the process of meeting someone where they are and helping them get where they want to be.
She's also, by most accounts, exceptionally good at manual therapy. The kind of hands-on skill that takes years to develop and can't be taught from a textbook — and her patients tend to notice.
At TTG, she's a key part of the bridge between physical therapy and performance, working alongside Scott to make sure no patient falls through the gap between recovery and return.
When the workday is done, she's a proud homebody. You'll find her at home with her wife, three dogs, and two cats — fully content, exactly where she wants to be.

Business Manager
If you've spent any time at TTG, you already know Mary — and if you know Mary, you already know she's in a category of her own. Widely regarded by members and staff alike as quite possibly the nicest woman on the planet, she is the heartbeat of the front desk and the reason everything at TTG runs as smoothly as it does.
Mary handles all things admin and scheduling, which means she's often the first voice you hear and the person quietly making sure every moving piece stays in place behind the scenes. The kind of work that doesn't always get noticed — until it isn't done. Mary does it exceptionally.
She also has a deep and well-documented love for a great cup of coffee. Stay on her good side and there's a chance she shows up to your session with one for you. Consider it the best perk in the building.
Outside of TTG, Mary's world revolves around her two children — and anyone who knows her knows that's exactly where her heart is.

Strength & Conditioning Coach
Fair warning: Alain is probably the most demanding trainer in the building. If you're looking for someone to take it easy on you, he is not your guy. If you're looking for someone to unlock a level of performance you didn't know you had — now we're talking.
Alain earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from LSUS and has been part of the TTG team since early 2024. In that time he's built a reputation for pushing clients further than they thought possible — with the knowledge and passion to back every rep of it up. He genuinely cares about the people he trains, and that's exactly what makes him effective.
He's also, by all accounts, one of the best people you'll ever meet. Tough trainer. Great human. Exactly the combination you want in your corner.

Strength & Conditioning Coach & Internship Coordinator
Allissa holds a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. During her graduate studies, she earned a prestigious fellowship that took her to Barksdale Air Force Base, where she provided cognitive performance training to B-52 aircrews — an experience that shaped her deep understanding of mental toughness, focus, and performance under pressure.
She is now a core part of the TTG team and will soon be expanding her role to include mental performance counseling — bringing sports psychology off the field and into everyday training in a way few facilities in the region can offer.

Strength & Conditioning Coach
She joined the TTG team in November 2025 fresh off earning her Master's degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology from Louisiana Tech University — and she brought four years of collegiate soccer experience with her. Competing at the college level while earning an advanced degree gave her a firsthand understanding of what it takes to perform, recover, and grow as an athlete.
Originally from Sweden, she made the move to the United States in 2020 to pursue her education and her sport — a leap that speaks to the same boldness and drive she now brings to every athlete she works with at TTG.

Trainer
She's been part of the TTG family longer than she's been on staff — she started training here in 2020 and joined the team officially in January 2022. That kind of loyalty says everything about who she is and what this place means to her.
By day, she's a math teacher and varsity cheer coach at Byrd High School, which means she already spends her days doing exactly what she does at TTG — teaching people new things, building discipline, and pushing others toward their best. She brings that same classroom and sideline energy to every session on the gym floor.
Her passion is simple: help people learn, move better, and build healthy habits that actually stick. Whether you're picking up a barbell for the first time or fine-tuning your routine, she meets you where you are and helps you get where you want to go.
