Our court is available for pickleball, basketball, futsal, volleyball, and more! We offer pickleball open play daily. Gym reservations are also available for your sports-themed parties and events!
Director of Strength & Conditioning
One of the original founders of TTG, Ian has been in Strength & Conditioning for 16 years now. His experience includes MLS, MLB, and NCAA Div 1-3. He also is a former Cressey Sports Performance intern. He is currently on the USA Climbing Team selection committee. A true nerd at heart, he enjoys rock climbing and spending time with his dalmatians, wife and his son.
Director of Physical Therapy
Scott gained his appreciation for healthcare and fitness after suffering from an extensive knee injury at the young age of 10. Scott’s passion for combining orthopedic physical therapy and sports performance training is what led him to The Training Ground. He is looking forward to bridging the gap between physical therapy and returning to full function.
Director of Nutrition/Trainer
Danye is our Nutrition and Research Director here at TTG. She is nothing but an amazing wave of energy, knowledge, and talent! She brings her nutrition expertise to all of our clientele. Danye enjoys the magic of Disney World and podcasting. Her favorite lift is the hip thrust!
Physical Therapist Assistant
I have 7 years experience in working as a PTA in orthopedics. I enjoy helping facilitate a patient to return to their daily activities and reach their goals! Getting to connect with people of different backgrounds while helping them progress physically is such a wonderful part of my job at TTG! Outside of work, I'm a homebody who loves spending time with my wife and our 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Head Trainer
Tristan began his fitness career several years ago via Crossfit and personal training. He looks for every opportunity to connect with each individual at TTG. He loves details and enjoys teaching. He lives by the motto, "Faith, Family, and Fitness". Tristan is an avid Crossfitter and is well aware that a little try can go a long way! Tristan has his NASM-CPT/Nutrition, USAW1 certifications.
Trainer
Alain is a former intern who earned his bachelors at LSUS in Exercise Science. He has been working at TTG since early 2024 and has a passion for helping clients. Alain plans to further his education by attending graduate school at LSUS, majoring in Public Health. He hopes to eventually work in healthcare, continuing to help others.
Trainer
I started working at TTG in January of 2022, but I have been working out here since 2020. I am a math teacher and varsity cheer coach at Byrd High School. I enjoy teaching people new things and helping them create healthy habits in their lives! I enjoy working out, friends, family and any sporting event!
Business Manager
She is known to many as “the nicest woman on the planet.” Mary takes care of all of our admin and scheduling needs. She loves a good cup of coffee and if you stay on her good side she may even bring you one! Mary loves spending time with her two beautiful children.
Operations Director
The man, the myth, the legend. Clay is the backbone of our operation. He is here to answer all of your questions and if you ask nicely he may even play a game of pickleball with you!
Trainer
Gwendoline has been in the fitness industry since 2004. She has experience teaching everything from Pilates chair group classes to HIIT classes. She works with all ages of life through her various careers. She loves education, holding certifications in personal training, group fitness, performing arts and degrees in Business Management and Psychology. Gwendoline has traveled all over, training and teaching specialized workshops to athletes.
Trainer
I have my Master's degree from LA Tech in Sports and Exercise Psychology. Through a fellowship I had the incredible opportunity to work at Barksdale Air Force Base doing cognitive training with the
B-52 aircrews. I am now at TTG training and will soon be sharing my knowledge of mental performance through counseling at TTG. I have a love for dogs, art, volleyball, powerlifting and throwing the javelin. I am a triplet and I value time with my family and treasure every moment!

My journey at this gym has been the training experience I've always been looking for. Every workout you do is planned down to a science and is tailored around your goals and your energy levels. The team are very professional and create a plan tailored for you after an assessment like no other trainers have performed before. You feel the personal level of attention and detail! They focus on correct form and technique when working out! I’m constantly learning! I highly recommend!
I started with the training ground nearly 1 year ago. Since then I’ve not only lost 15lbs but I’ve gotten so much stronger. I’ve never been able to do a push up (don’t get me wrong I’m a collegiate athlete but my arms have always been weak) After much work I can do many “man” push ups. I can dead lift. Do trap bar. Do all kinds of things that used to intimidate me. And I can finally see my triceps! Dayne, Ian, Nathan, Scott, and Tristan are all wonderful trainers who put form and safety over everything which I appreciate. The nutrition classes are where the real full body transformation is seen. I love getting to enjoy going to the gym and having interesting people to accompany me on my strength journey. I had never had personal training before, but I had a friend recommend The Training Ground when I was shopping around for a personal trainer. All of the trainers are super professional, but they also make you feel like family at the same time. With myself having no prior gym knowledge, they are patient with me and fantastic at demonstrating and explaining in a way that I understand. I recommend them to everyone I know!
If you are looking for 1 on 1 help training your body to be more fit in a very friendly and relaxed environment then The Training Grounds is where it is at! No matter where you are in your fitness journey they can help! If you have injuries or are recovering from certain surgeries they can help! They have some for ALL age groups. Already fit? Yah, they can take you to that next level. One of Shreveport's best kept hidden 'gems'! They are a premium priced gym, but you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommended!
Amazing private gym. Coaches are all very helpful, knowledgeable, and individually program for each client and their goals. There is a great selection of well-maintained equipment and a court for futsal, pickleball, etc. Atmosphere is always energetic and the community is welcoming. I’ve improved in my sport and had fun doing it, would recommend TTG to anyone.
I found TTG after years of trying to work through old injuries as well as new problems caused by sitting at a computer all day. The trainers, and PT have listened and created a personalized program to address my weaknesses. After 2 months with them I am a believer!
Gyms aren't my thing, but the trainers at The Training Ground keep me coming back - I don't miss a workout! They listen, they make sure they are helping and not hurting, and they are coaching me into a stronger and healthier person! The best I could ask for!
I have been with the training ground since November, 2021 after being the the Schumpert physical therapy for 7 months prior. I finished my therapy there and my PT wanted me to continue additional therapy and the training ground was a place he recommended. I had an ACL tear when skiing and surgery in March, 2021. I have been impressed with the detail the group takes to determine a specific sequence of exercises catered to strengthen certain muscles. I also have had a physical retest at the Schumpert facility & it showed tremendous improvement. These guys really care if you are improving and are full of encouragement. I RECOMMEND HIGHLY.
Best gym in the world, best trainers in the world, period!!! I have been training with Ian and his team for nearly 7 years, and there is simply no other place where the trainers are as highly committed to their profession. The QUALITY of training you receive at TTG is unsurpassed, and the level of CUSTOMER SERVICE is unparalleled. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been training all your life or you’ve never stepped foot in a gym. You will feel like YOU BELONG. This is where everyone who has the slightest inclination to be healthy should be. PERIOD.
The Training Ground has changed my life completely. All of the trainers and nutritionists are amazing and so knowledgeable about all things fitness and health. Everyone is incredibly supportive and encouraging. I can’t say enough good things about them and to anyone who’s wanting to start a fitness journey but maybe don’t even know where to begin to reach out to anyone here. I promise you won’t regret it!
